"St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families marked November’s National Homelessness Awareness Month with a screening of a short documentary film, “In Her Words,” at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School’s Nolan Center. The film that was screened at the Catholic high school in Washington highlighted four young mothers who had experienced homelessness and other challenges before coming to live at St. Ann’s."
"In Her Words" - A Special Night for St. Ann's Center
On November 4, St. Ann's Center hosted "In Her Words" - a short film, panel discussion, and reception held to recognize Homelessness Awareness Month. Over 125 attendees joined us at the Nolan Center at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School - a warm, inviting space just perfect for our gathering. We hope you enjoy these snapshots from a truly special evening for the St. Ann’s Center community.

The families who come to St. Ann’s have faced real challenges in their young lives. These experiences can be overwhelming and isolating. Thankfully, you make St. Ann’s a place where – over time, with love and support – that sense of isolation can begin to dissipate, freeing women and their children to forge new relationships that add hopeful dimensions to their lives.
