At St. Ann’s Child Care Center, we believe every child deserves a safe, loving environment where they can learn, explore, and thrive. Our experienced educators provide individualized attention and engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture each child’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

As part of St. Ann’s Center’s mission to strengthen families, our Child Care Center serves both children living at St. Ann’s and families from the surrounding community. Quality early education gives children a strong foundation for the future while dependable child care supports parents as they pursue education, employment, and greater stability.

With consistent caregivers, small class sizes, and year-round programming, we provide the quality early childhood education children need and the dependable care working families value.

St. Ann's Child Care Center has earned a Level 3 quality rating through Maryland EXCELS, the state's quality rating and improvement system, reflecting our commitment to high standards in early childhood education and continuous improvement.

Infant and Toddler Program | Ages 2 Months to 2 Years

Learn More About Our Infant and Toddler Program
Our youngest learners receive individualized care and attention in a warm, nurturing environment. Whenever possible, children remain with the same caregivers throughout their first two years, building trusting relationships that support healthy development and a strong sense of security.

Our teachers work closely with families to understand each child’s unique needs, routines, and developmental milestones. Daily communication keeps parents connected to their child's experiences and progress.

Our Infant and Toddler Program follows the Maryland State Department of Education’s Healthy Beginnings guidelines. Early Head Start services are also available to eligible families.

Learn More About Our Preschool Program

At St. Ann’s Center, children receive a comprehensive preschool education that builds the same foundational skills emphasized in public prekindergarten programs, including early literacy, math, science, problem-solving, and social and emotional development.

Through hands-on learning, creative exploration, and individualized attention, our teachers help children develop the confidence, independence, and skills they need for a successful transition to kindergarten.

St. Ann’s Center offers the added convenience of full-day, year-round care, including extended hours and summer programming. Families benefit from a consistent, nurturing environment that combines quality preschool education with the dependable care working families need. Head Start services are also available to eligible families.

Paul’s Journey

Paul, his parents’ first child, was 15 months old when he entered St. Ann’s Early Head Start program, following concerns about Paul’s developmental progress. He wasn’t crawling or walking and he was disengaged around other children. Paul’s parents spoke primarily Spanish at home. 

Our Child Care staff consulted with St. Ann’s physical therapist and focused extra attention on Paul. In just three months, Paul made remarkable progress. He became a dual-language learner, more engaged with his toddler classmates, began walking and running, and developed new skills, including feeding himself and drinking from an open cup!
