Children’s Bathroom Renovated
The youngest boys and girls on the St. Louise Unit of our Children’s Residential Program now have a beautiful new bathroom thanks to the efforts of several organizations who donated their time, talents and materials to create a clean, modern facility for our little ones.
A design and construction team led by hospitality designer Corinne Ritsick of Ritsick Design Associates, an award-winning firm based in Arlington, and David Burman of First Finish, a Columbia-based general contracting firm, completed work on the pro-bono renovation of the shared restroom facilities with help from Superior Mechanical Services, Regional Electric, and Stover Tile, each of whom donated time and materials. Designing Women, Marriott, and other friends in the hospitality industry had also provided some preliminary planning and funding for the renovation. The 300-square-foot area was completely gutted and renovated to ensure greater privacy as well as updated utilities. Construction was completed in early August. The pictures below show members of the team and the amazing results of the project. The children and staff of St. Ann's are very grateful for all of those who contributed to this wonderful renovation.
