Washington, D.C. – Sister Nancy Downing, CEO of St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families, announced today that notable Washingtonian and Catholic philanthropist Vince C. Burke, III will serve as Chair for the organization’s annual Hope Blossoms reception and awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD.
“We are thrilled to have Vince join us as Hope Blossoms Chair,” said Sister Nancy Downing. “Vince’s dedication to St. Ann’s has been evidenced by his years of devotion and his desire to support the mission of elevating young women into independence."
St. Ann’s Center’s flagship event drew a record 360 attendees last year, raising over $500,000 for the Center’s programs serving women and their children as they journey from crisis to stability and independence. This year’s event will celebrate one special, soon-to-be-announced honoree.

“Hope Blossoms is always a special time to come together to celebrate and support the families at St. Ann’s Center,” said Burke. “I’m excited to serve as Chair, and I can’t wait to help Sister Nancy create a memorable and meaningful experience for all. Please save the date – May 14 – and help us celebrate!”
