Resident Milestone: Cultivating Entrepreneurship
This summer, Erica* (center) partnered with her Case Manager, Alana Moore (right), and St. Ann’s Education and Workforce Development Coordinator Evita Smedley (left), to gain professional experience in floral design and explore new opportunities for her creative talents.
Through the process, Erica connected with local flower shop Oscar’s and shared her work, including her three-dimensional crochet art. Impressed by her creativity, the owner invited Erica to sell her artwork in the shop, creating a new source of income for Erica and her daughter.
This meaningful achievement is one more step as Erica continues developing her skills, exploring her professional path and building toward a brighter future. Congratulations, Erica!
