Cardinal Honors Long-Time St. Ann’s Volunteer
Every week for the past 40 years, Trudy Conrad has given of her time and talents to serve as mentor and friend to the neglected, abused and abandoned children cared for at St. Ann’s. For the boys and girls in our Residential Children's Program, Wednesday night is Bingo night with Miss Trudy, as they lovingly call her, and they look forward to it with great anticipation.
For her faithful service, Trudy received a Manifesting the Kingdom Award presented by Cardinal Donald W. Wuerl at a Mass at the Basilica on Sunday, January 2.
Trudy was one of about 200 lay people and religious from throughout the Archdiocese who were recognized by the Cardinal for their “living effort to manifest the kingdom of God” through their service to the Church. Congratulations Trudy.
All of us at St. Ann's are very proud of you and very grateful for your continued commitment to our mission.
