Visitation Cub Chase Races to Success
Last Sunday morning was picture-perfect as 110 runners/walkers and 15+ supporters came out on the C & O canal in Georgetown for Visitation fellowship and St. Ann's fundraising!
Now in it's 3rd year, the Cub Chase is a 5K run/walk organized by current students of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School - the alma mater of St. Ann's Center's CEO Sr. Mary Bader. This year, a dedicated group of student volunteers, lead by Katie Daniels & Marie Therese Kane, recruited more runners and sponsors than ever! Way to go girls!
Current visitation students, alumni, faculty and parents, as well as students from Gonzaga and runners from the community, joined in the fun. We are grateful to all who participated, including the sponsors who contributed goods and services to make this event such a success. Thank you Clyde's, Pie Sisters, Georgetown Cupcake, Saxby's, and Running Company - Visitation is blessed to be part of such a generous community!
In all, the race raised $7,511 for the Center's programs for at-risk young mothers and their children!
